How are puppy selections done?

  • We perform temperament, focus, and distraction testing in order to place our pups in the best possible home. We have spent several hours with the pups from the time they are born and up until they go home. This means we know each puppy and have a lot of observations about their behavior and personality. Our trainee puppies are selected first, followed by our 8 week pups.

When can I come and meet my puppy?

  • When the pups turn 2 weeks old, we will share the puppy cam with you via the Wyze App. You will have unlimited access to this until the pups turn 8 weeks.  Around the 5 week point, you will see that the pups have been moved from the nursery to our puppy house.  At this time you may schedule an appointment to come and view the litter. At this age, the pups are not vaccinated and therefore, we do not allow touching/handling of them.  When the pups turn 8 weeks and after they are cleared by our vet, we perform selections and will email you a photo of your pup. At this time, if you are getting a trainee puppy, we will schedule your first visit.  If you are getting a puppy at 8 weeks, we will schedule your pick up.

When can I pick up my puppy?

  • 8 week puppies go home at 8 weeks.
  • Trainees go home at 16 weeks.

My puppy is in training, how often can I visit?

  • We highly encourage weekly visits during the training period. It will give you time to bond with your puppy but also our trainer will have the opportunity to go over their training routine with you. You will be expected to practice this routine during your visits so that when your puppy comes home they are familiar with you and know to follow your commands.  It will also give us the chance to fine tune the way you hold the leash and speak to the pup to ensure their compliance in following your commands. Each visit will be one hour in duration. We are available Mondays-Saturdays 9am-1pm. If you need a Saturday appointment, please schedule in advance!  Visiting during this time are very important. If you are unable to visit, we ask that you are patient and practice the training routine with the puppy once they come home.  Training should be done 3-4 times a day, for no more than 5 minutes.  It will likely take a couple of weeks for the puppy to adjust to having a new handler and to listen to you, if you are unable to visit consistently.
